They also checked out the Cafe Apartments, a refurbished apartment building that now houses several cafes and shops. Saigon Oi, located on the 5th floor of the Cafe Apartments, offers a minimalist interior and large windows with views of the walking street. For panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City, head up to the Saigon Sky Deck on the 49th floor of the Bitexcon Financial Tower. The Golde Water Puppet Show showcased the beauty of ancient Vietnam and its mythologies. They also tried authentic Hue cuisine at Nam Giao.

On day two, they visited the Cu Chi Tunnels, a 250km-long network of tunnels used by Viet Cong troops during the Vietnam War to evade aerial bombing. They also went on a calming river tour of the Mekong River Delta, where more than half of Vietnam’s rice and fish comes from. 200 Market in district four provided one of their favourite street food experiences in Ho Chi Minh.

On day three, they explored the Ben Thanh Market, the city’s most well-known market with all sorts of items for sale. They also visited the Central Post Office, an iconic building that represents a good blend of European architecture and Asian decorations.
